More than twelve years ago, I came to Sri Lanka almost by chance, simply to visit friends. What was meant to be a stay gradually became a new life.

Taken by the island, its energy and the generosity of its people, I settled on the South Coast and moved into hospitality. Over the years, I travelled the country, explored its regions and, above all, took time to discover a more intimate Sri Lanka: small guesthouses full of character, mountain villages, still-wild beaches, local tables and experiences that do not always appear in guidebooks.

When friends and acquaintances came to visit from France, they naturally asked for advice: where to stay, which regions to discover, how long to spend there, which driver to choose, and what not to miss. From recommendations to itineraries, organising journeys became the obvious next step.

In 2018, I began designing my first tailor-made trips in Sri Lanka. Since then, the work has grown almost entirely through word of mouth.

Lankahiru is the continuation of that story.

The ambition remains the same: to share the Sri Lanka I know and love, and to shape every journey around your wishes, pace and time of travel. From essential sites to more confidential addresses, each itinerary is built on real local knowledge and the desire to show you the island beyond the usual routes.

After all these years, I am still convinced that Sri Lanka's finest memories are often found where you did not expect to go.
